CanaryMod server confusion

Postby redzebra1000 » Sat May 14, 2016 9:39 pm

Hey there. I`m new with CanaryMod, I just uploaded the zip file a little bit ago. Is the CanaryMod server a server on Minecraft? Because I have Minecraft up right now, so I was wondering if the server is a Minecraft server, or if it is this:

I'm sorry what are you trying to ask exactly? I may have just glossed over it but to me it seemed that you are saying "Is CanaryMod a server?"
I help out when I can. :)

Of course canarymod is a server based on minecraft. But to this you get the chance to write your own expansions of the world called 'plugins'. What you see is just the GUI of a normal minecraft server, if you would take a better look at the server output you would see that its not saying

[TIME] [MINECRAFTSERVER-X.X.X] [some action stuff]

it' saying

[TIME] [CANARYMOD] [some action stuff]

If you don't want to see that GUI you can open the server with eg a bash or cmd (windows).
